Primero Justicia takes away from the ideological right

After seven years in the arena of political struggle, Primero Justicia weekend held its first congress Ideological which, as its leader Julio Borges, represent the emission of the "birth" of the organization, which will be defined as a party of "center-humanist."
"can be left, in the sense that it is a game called Primero Justicia and your choice is for the poor, and center, in the sense that we believe it is important to the initiative of individuals, we believe in the open economy, the role of the third sector which is civil society, but do not want to fall into the discussion of friends and foes, left, right, because it captures what we are in essence, "said Borges, on a visit to The Universal.
clarified that "in any sense we are right in the manner as is known in Venezuela, of which defend the privileged, those who defend the rich. The Government has tried to impose that tattoo, "he said.
argued that the location in the center-humanist political spectrum means" tell the Venezuelans who do not have to sacrifice freedom for equity and that humanism is to overcome left-right that seeks to put the person and human dignity as the center and to the institutions, economy, life and society, "said Borges.
For his part, Carlos Ocariz recalled that the party was born in Caracas and created an image that we were middle class professional, but at that time began growth and today we are all over the country. "He added that in the 2006 elections, 67% of the votes of PJ were popular areas and almost 90% of the interior," ie, cease to be the middle game east of Caracas, "he said.
The challenges of the organization, Juan Carlos Caldera said the intention of" being a party cement, whose major goal is to unite Venezuela, which is broken, and have room to build a majority. "
The Congress will begin on Friday with the adoption of doctrinal theory and Saturday will include the participation of important figures in world politics, including former president of Bolivia, Jorge Quiroga.

Paine Case: Judge reactive skills after receiving report of alleged witness
Minister Hector Solis received the testimony of an alleged member of the squad that killed 16 peasants in 1973. So far have found bullet casings and a small bone was human expertise and although it is unknown date of death. New

steps occur in the case of missing Paine. During the summer after Judge Virginia Rivera lead a team of specialists in search of remains of the disappeared, today the judge in charge of the process develops Héctor Solís investigations at a site near the place previously reviewed.
In the hands of the judge of the Court of Appeals of San Miguel was the testimony of a witness, an alleged member of the squad that killed 16 peasants on 16 October 1973. The subject provided data on where these victims have been buried, which were later removed as part of "Operation TVs retreat." Coincident with the version submitted in time by Colonel (r) Andrés Magaña Bau, investigations are also being developed near Lake Rapel, but in a different place than previously reviewed.
far field tasks allowed between 0:14 to find shell casings, and together they have a framework and it was skill and human, although his date of death unknown. During the summer
Judge Rivera led inquiry, after obtaining the testimony of Magaña, who said he knew where they were illegally buried the victims and further stated that in 1978 he returned to the same place in the middle of the operation of exhuming corpses.
The records of that period showed no positive results and only resulted in increasing expectations of the families.
For this reason the judge, at the time, asked the Army on the map exactly where they were buried and the names of officials of military intelligence in 1977 or 1978, according to the same Magaña, led him to identify the place and remove the bodies, as supported by Col. (R) and then were thrown overboard. "

Violence against children and adolescents

More than fifteen years after the unanimous adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child there is much to be done to ensure that children and adolescents are protected from all forms of violence. While we have made progress in establishing the legal framework and although we have many examples of positive initiatives, efforts to prevent and respond to violence against children in Latin America are very shy, especially considering that it is now just one of the biggest concerns entire region.
Latin America Report on Violence against Children and Adolescents, prepared by the organizations that comprise the Regional Secretariat for the UN Study on the same subject, contains a thorough summary of knowledge and experience accumulated by many governmental and NGOs dedicated to the promotion and protection of child rights in the region. Sea
inside homes, schools, streets, or in places of detention, violence often goes unnoticed and has serious implications on the lives of thousands of children also affects their communities. Effective strategies are essential to prevent various forms of violence continue, as well as mechanisms to ensure that when they occur, are quickly identified and that their victims are properly protected and receive adequate support.
In Latin America the situation can be alarming. The homicide rate in adolescents are among the highest in the world. The lack of strong prevention programs, lack of detailed information on the situation of children and violence by state agents become the challenge of overcoming this cycle of violence extremely difficult.
This report represents a valuable input both to understand the seriousness of the box we live in, as the roads that have been found to overcome it. Represents an invaluable contribution to the global study coordinated, but must also contribute a lot in the discussions that we continue to develop in Latin America.
Fortunately, the countries of the region have repeatedly affirmed their unanimous commitment to the defense of children's rights by ratifying human rights treaties. The Buenos Aires Declaration, signed by representatives of countries attending the Regional Consultation on Violence against Children, Buenos Aires 2 005, which was also part of the United Nations Study on Violence against Children and Adolescents, reflects this commitment and points out the importance of a paradigm shift in the region clamoring for commitments by States are urgently translated into action for the protection of children.
While ensuring the protection of child rights is a state obligation, collaboration all, including civil society organizations, research centers and individual children and adolescents is essential. The violence challenges us are many, and require the participation of all. Contributions like this report are of great value and is therefore pleased to invite me to your reading. Paulo Sergio

"The state does not assume legal custody of children and adolescents"

The State will not take over the parental rights of children and adolescents informó el vicepresidente de la Sala de Casación Social del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia (TSJ), Juan Rafael Perdomo.

Perdomo explicó que “la idea nuestra, en esta law is to keep the responsibility of the family, society and parents in raising their sons and daughters and never to endorse a third party, even the Venezuelan State. Ideology "in educational reform? Family Justice Secretary

The announced curricular reform is expected to be published shortly by the Ministry of Education does not have the support of some experts. Professor of the School of Sociology, Central University of Venezuela (UCV) Amalio Belmonte and the representative of the NGO Asamblea de Educación, Leonardo Carvajal, agree that the Government's interest would be ideological.
"We note that the ministry sees the reform as a process to modify issues relating to the area of \u200b\u200bsocial sciences, that believes that from this area may facilitate the promotion of political and ideological interests of the ruling, "Belmonte explained after a discussion in the Commission Education of the UCV. Several reasons
exposes the Board of Education representative to say that no ideology: the announcement of the creation of the national history, which the minister of culture serve to recover, the official opening of the printing press that can print 20,000,000 annual book, and the statement of Deputy Maria Queipo on the importance of studying at school the thought of Chavez.
